 our process

Prospective clients come to us through other clients, referrals, other professionals, and our website, through NAPFA, FPA or from other websites on which we are listed.

Prospective clients who contact us are offered a free initial consultation and are requested to complete and return our information form found on our website.
Upon receipt we will schedule and host an initial consultation to discuss the prospective client’s situation and to evaluate the extent to which our services could be of value to them. Following the meeting, if appropriate, a written proposal is sent to the prospective client. The prospective client and advisor will then schedule an in-depth working session to address clients' interests and concerns and if appropriate to complete the paperwork to engage our services. This includes an Engagement Letter, Fee Agreement, Account Applications, Transfer Forms and other documents required by Federal regulations.

If engaged for full financial services, we begin working with the client in building their initial personal financial plan. This process is scheduled to be completed within 30-60 days from date of engagement and may include a session with client after the draft of the plan is prepared or may include a client meeting when the plan is completed. If engagement is for investment management only, client is asked to meet with the advisor in a working session to complete a risk assessment and provide information for both parties to select the appropriate portfolio target asset allocation and target annual rate of return.

For all clients, advisor completes a set of written investment documents for clients to review and execute. Such documents are important as they establish the framework for management of client’s investment portfolio. All clients are provided a copy of our signed Fiduciary Oath which we accept as a standard of care in our client-advisor relationship.

Upon acceptance of the client’s personal financial plan (if appropriate), risk assessment and investment documents, client’s model portfolio asset allocation and targeted annual rate of return is determined. Client’s portfolio management then begins which includes a review of current holdings, investment research and the design of the investment portfolio.

For full service clients, we begin the work needed to implement the personal financial plan through a range of financial services.
